![]() Sturzdorf: starting south is terrible against americans due to a lot of strafes, north is bad against brits due to difficulties of securing fuel as fast as you want, while IHTs tend to get stuck in the trees that are on the way to the +16 muni on the east side, which brits WILL park their truck on. I also like Wrecked Train(lots of cover, G43s seem to work well here) and Ruins of Rouen(turtle near your cut-offs until you get mp44s, at which point your blob will massacre riflemen due to most engagements being very close range). Langres is also good, but Ango is even better. Getting that fuel you need for your double IHTs -> shrecks goes faster on this map than any other. Pretty balanced, has enough shot-blocking cover for vehicles to escape while being open, which means mine emplacement is harder.Īgainst brits, it's angoville. This post has been edited by Olibrius: Feb 4 2010, 16:54 PMĪgainst the US I say Langres. IR isn't so bad once you learn how to handle it. It's one of the map I like the most when fighting an US opponent. I think that PE can deal fairly easily on WT against the US. and to make things worst, if you start south, 2 HUGE buildings are guarding your cut off right outside your base, no to mention that you lack ammo. Tarmac help SR too much, too big, too easy to get cut out (especially if you start south), buildings are so big that flame nades are useless against most of them. (I always have suck on Angoville with axis factions since patch vCoH1.5 anyway) ![]() And if you start south and go for left side, it's tough to get the second +16 ammo that is next to your opponent base. The shape of the edgerow give too much an edge to the mining and barwire of the US player. Too easy to get cut off if you end up with the right side. Then you can camp the point and quickly finish the remaining stuff (better with marder: quicker and can handle churchill too). The map is so big that you can very easily outcap them and bring a P4/marder in time to kill the field support truck as it enter in the map. Fairly high amount of fuel, not too far to run from one end of the map to the other with your blob, not too much building where the ennemy may hide (and those aren't so big that flame nade don't do shit) and cutoof don't too much hidden by hedgerow that hinder your long range stuff. ![]()
